Dream About Egg Interpretation

Eating the Shell or White of the Egg

  1. Eating the shell or white part of an egg, but not the yolk, suggests that you might take money or belongings that belong to someone who has passed away or been killed.
  2. It could also mean you might be involved in digging up graves to steal the burial cloth of the deceased.

Breaking an Egg Eating only the White Dream Explanation

A person asked Ibn Sirin (RA) what it meant when someone dreams of breaking an egg and eating only the white, not the yolk. Ibn Sirin wanted to speak directly to the person who had the dream, but the man refused to come forward, saying he would pass on the answer. After the man insisted several times, Ibn Sirin finally swore that he himself had the dream.

Ibn Sirin then told the people around him to arrest the man, saying he was a grave robber who stole shrouds from the dead. The man begged for forgiveness, promising to never commit such actions again. Because of his sincere repentance, he was not handed over to the authorities and was set free.

White Pigeon Sitting on Top of a Mosque Dream Explanation

A person told Ibn Sirin (RA) about a dream where he saw a white pigeon sitting on top of a mosque in Medina. The man was amazed by its beauty, but then a hawk came and carried it away. Ibn Sirin interpreted this dream by saying that if the man was telling the truth, it meant that Hajjaj bin Yusuf would marry the daughter of Abdullah bin Jafar At-Tayyar. Not long after, Hajjaj married her.

Someone asked Ibn Sirin how he came to this interpretation. He explained that a pigeon in a dream represents a woman, and its whiteness symbolizes her beauty. The mosque’s pinnacle represents her high status and honor. He believed the only woman who matched this description was the daughter of At-Tayyar. The hawk in the dream, which symbolizes a cruel ruler, matched the description of Hajjaj, so he concluded that the dream was predicting their marriage. The people listening were amazed by his explanation.

Waraqah Wearing White Garments Dream Explanation

Aisha (ra) shared a story about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Someone asked him about Waraqah, a man who had believed in the Prophet but passed away before the Prophet’s mission began. Khadijah, the Prophet’s wife, mentioned to him, “Waraqah believed in you, but he died before your time as a Prophet.” The Prophet then said, “I saw him in a dream, and he was dressed in white clothes. If he had been among the people of Hell, he wouldn’t have been wearing white.” This explanation was recorded by Imam Tirmidhi, a scholar of dreams.
