Dream About the Sun Interpretation

Seeing The Sun In Dream Meaning

The Sun: It represents kingdom and at times, one of both parents.

Holding the Sun: Holding or grasping the sun and having full control over it means that the observer of the dream will acquire dominion (or land) in proportion to the amount he grasps provided the sun is clearly visible and its rays are crystal clear.

If the light and rays of the sun are seen shining on someone the interpretation is the same as above.

Solar Eclipse: A solar eclipse or any change or defect in the sun means similar changes will occur in the observer’s domain or the region wherein he lives provided that there is some hint of this in the dream. If there is no such hint, it represents one of both parents.

Quarrelling or Disputing with the Sun: Quarrelling and fighting with the sun suggests that the observer will enter into disputes regarding his domain (or properties) or he will enter into a
dispute with one of his parents.

Sunrise in the House: If a person sees the sun rising in his house it is a tiding that he will soon marry if he is a bachelor. Otherwise the kings and rulers will confer great honour upon
him.

Clouds Enshrouding the Sun: If the sun is seen covered or shrouded by clouds or anything else, this is an omen that the observer of such a dream will either fall ill or he will become perturbed due to some calamity befalling his estate or one of his parents.

Narration: A person revealed to Imaam Ja’far As-Saadiq (RA) his dream: “I saw the sun rising from my body”. The Imaam interpreted the dream thus: “You shall be given abundant wealth and treasures by the king or ruler and they will also confer honour upon you”. Another person revealed his dream to the Imaam saying: “I saw the sun rising upon my feet and not any other part of my body”. The Imaam interpreted this dream thus: “Wherever you travel, you shall receive from the king or governor wheat, dates and the produce of the land as your livelihood. All these will prove to be most beneficial and profitable for you”.

A Battle Between the Sun and the Moon

Caliph Omar Bin Al-Khattab (RA) appointed a man as a judge for Syria. After leaving Mecca, the man had a dream in which he saw the sun, the moon, and the stars fighting each other. In the dream, he also turned into a star and joined the battle. Halfway through his journey, he returned to Medina and told the Caliph about his dream.

Omar asked, “When you became a star in the dream, did you fight on the side of the sun or the moon?” The man replied, “I fought on the side of the moon.”

Hearing this, Omar said, “Go away and do not work for me.” Later, the man joined Yazid’s army in Syria and died fighting against the caliphate in the Battle of Siffin.
